Who We Are
We are a family operated business that began in New York City in 1990, now based in South Texas.
Erlinda (Linda) Dassalla came to the U.S. from the Philippines in 1969. She married Joseph Denzler and soon started a family. After attending her first of many American BBQ’s, she created a marinade to use on pork and chicken skewers so she could also contribute some of her own flavorful dishes to the BBQ’s her family and her were attending. Linda would cut up chicken and pork, skewer the meat and marinade it over night, before tossing them on the grill. They were an instant hit! Each time Linda and her family planned on attending an upcoming BBQ or party, folks would ask if she was bringing “the marinated shish kebobs.” Linda and Joe realized quickly the delicious marinade she shared with friends and family was not only used for marinating pork and chicken but, was so versatile that her friends were marinating all types of meat, seafoods, and even using her marinade as a salad dressing. Finally, a “lightbulb” went on in Joe’s head, “What if we bottled it?” His wife and kids thinking he was nuts, said “Sure! Do it!” And here we are today.
